No body talks about our country's burgeoning population as all political parties treat this aspect as a holy cow and dubiously considering it as more the merrier case of substantial share if there is a large vote bank base. Add to this the caste and class system we are ready with a riot recipe like what happened in Haryana recently.
Perhaps it was for the first time that an Army flag March convoy was stopped and turned back by a mob despite curfew in the history of Independent India .
Perhaps numbers are taking their toll.
Little do we realise that if we do not invest in our people for their education these riots started on difference of opinion based class system /caste system /have and have nots/on colour, appearance, wearing turbans, flowing beards, and many more minor or major perceived flash points will keep taking place. The major reason for all types of intolerance to happen is our lack of investment on people development or human resources development.
We are all talking of infrastructure development but we do not talk of human resources development. We have to decide that whether we need uneducated human resources to use world class infrastructure or we need educated people to use world class infrastructure . As of present the balance is heavily tilted in favour of building concrete structures rather than shaping and developing fine human minds.
